The IPS conferences are held every two years, with the aim of covering the latest developments in the field of photochemical conversion and storage of solar energy. The conference is organized by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, A. J. Nozik, chairman.
This Thirteenth Conference will include the following topics:
- Light-induced fuel production
- Photoelectrochemistry
- Biological photosynthesis
- Artificial photosynthesis
- Photocatalysis and environmental chemistry
- Biomimetic systems
- Time-resolved and coherent spectroscopy
- Photoinduced electron transfer
- Fundamental aspects of quantum solar energy conversion
- Photophysics and photochemistry at interfaces
- Materials for photon conversion
- Photoreaction and reactor engineering
- Practical applications
Contributions, as either oral presentations or posters, are encouraged. Abstracts must be sent to the IPS-2000 Secretariat no later than March 15, 2000.
Abstracts must be camera ready and no more than one page in length. The text must fit within a box 6.5 inches (165 mm) wide and 9 inches (229 mm) tall. The title, author names, and author addresses should be at the top, as usual.
Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation; selection of abstracts and the mode of presentation will be made by the selection committee. Authors will be notified of decisions by May 1, 2000.
Abstracts may be submitted by mail or sent as an email attachment to The Secretariat — IPS-2000. We accept Microsoft Word, Wordperfect, RTF (rich text format), and plain text.
Proceedings
The conference proceedings will be published on the Web. This will include the plenary lectures, the workshop talks, and the abstracts. A book of abstracts will be provided at the conference.

PS-2000 will have two-three parallel workshops during three afternoons. Each workshop will be opened with an invited overview talk. Oral presentations and posters will be associated with each workshop.
