As the Chair, It is my great honor and
pleasure to invite you to attend the International Conference
on Biomass Energy Technologies (ICBT2008), which will be held
from November 29 to December 1, 2008 in Guangzhou, the most
famous flower city with long history in China.
For the last few decades, biomass energy is becoming one of
the most important one for its environment friendly features
and renewability under the circumstances of the energy crisis
and environmental pressure that human being must face. So under
the auspices of National Development and Reform Commission,
Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R.China, Chinese Academy
of Sciences, WWF and National Natural Science Foundation of
China, the ICBt2008 will be organized by Chinese Bioenergy Association
and Chinese Renewable Energy Society and undertaked by Guangzhou
Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS.
The conference topics approximately cover all the novel technologies
of biomass resources, biomass power and biomass liquid fuels
etc. At the same time, some forums will be arranged including
Seminar on the extending of energy plant technologies in developing
countries, Forum on biomass energy development in Asia, Forum
on investment of biomass energy industry in China. And Technology
achievements exhibitions will be expressed either.
Through ICBT2008, we would like to build a platform for experts,
scholars, officials and industrialists in biomass energy field
to exchange their ideas on hot spots in novel technologies and
their industry development to promote the international collaborations.
The Organizing Committee will do its best to make the meeting
a memorable one for every participant. We sincerely look forward
to meeting you in Guangzhou. We believe that your participation
will make ICBT2008 more successful and special.
