Industry Development of wind-driven water elevator

The researched wind-driven water elevator sets in China mainly can be classified into two classes: one class is with low lift (lower than 5m), large flow rate (larger than 20T/h), employing for pumping the surface water in the southern area; the other is high lift (higher than 10m) and low flow rate (lower than 8.5T/h), using for pumping water in the northern area. In recent years, experiment demonstration and popularization showed that the wind-driven water elevator sets researched by China are reasonable in configuration design, with reliable and steady operation, convenient operation and maintenance and that the performance can satisfy the requirement of consumers. Among them, the low lift and high flow rate wind-driven water elevator sets developed by Chinese Agricultural Mechanism Research Institute of Sciences, and the high lift and low flow rate wind-driven water elevator have been produced commercially. Furthermore, the allocated pump including the rotating pump and reversible pump can be developed and manufactured in China.
