The
history of utilization of ocean energy can be
traced back at least to the Middle Age. Early
in the 11th century, primitive tidal
water cart had been operated in region of Goar,
Andalusia and coastal area of England. Utilization
Concept on wave energy and temperature differential
energy has been pointed out early in the end of
the 19th century. But large scale of development
and research on ocean energy were conducted after
1950s, firstly covering the area of tidal energy,
and then the current energy and temperature differential
energy.
Here
present some main projects( cases) of utilization
of ocean energy in China and abroad. And we still
divide them into several groups according to the
energy form.
